FAQs
Please feel free to get in touch with Plyworx about any specific requirements or queries on our products. We have collated the most commonly ask questions we receive here to help with your enquiry.
Do the ply lining panels come with clip fixing holes pre-drilled?
Yes, all original clip fixing holes are pre-drilled where applicable and have a dia. 11mm as standard. These can be removed or adjusted as a special request through our online enquiry form.
Cab I use hidden fixings on 5.5mm thick Plywood panels?
Unfortunately, hidden fixings can only be used with 3.6mm thick plywood panels. Our experience would advise against rebating the 5.5mm panels on the rear to take the clips as they can pop back out of the van when trying to install due to the rigidity.
How are the tops of the full height panels secured to the van?
Most of the full height panels come with clip fixing holes at the top, however the sliding door, tailgate and barn door panels will require screwing at the top.
Can I fit blinds or curtains behind the window reveals on full height panels?
Yes, the window reveals as standard are inset by 50mm approximately all round to allow for curtain tracks to be concealed. However, slightly different window reveals are required when fitting blinds, which will need to be requested through the online enquiry form.
Do you post panel kits?
Yes, as standard we offer next day delivery almost anywhere in the UK apart from the highlands etc. Postage costs are determined by geographic location and parcels weights when checking out.
Can I collect?
We are more than happy for customers to collect kits direct from our premises in Cornwall.
Can I buy panels pre-carpeted?
We offer a carpeting service where your panels can be supplied fully trimmed in either 4-way stretch carpet or suedeliner, in any colour desired complete with hidden or standard fixing clips. Please contact us through the online enquiry form for a no obligation quote.
How are the halo roof systems installed?
Our custom halo roof systems are supplied in two main assemblies. One assembly being the one piece roof lining and the other being the halo lighting cover. The one piece roof assembly is installed using the inserts and screws provided with the halo cover inserted into place using hidden fixings. The complete install is visually fixing free.
Can I mix and match panels?
We are more than happy to supply individual panels or an assortment of panels which can be done through the online enquiry form. However, depending on the size and weight of the combined panels it may result in more than one parcel and subsequent postage costs.
Can I have something custom built?
Our in-house design team are more than happy to talk through custom designs and feasible solutions which will then be costed accordingly. Enquiries can be made through our online enquiry form.
What else can we do?
As well as purchasing standard campervan conversion products through our online shop we can also offer the following:
Trimming
We can supply panel kits trimmed in any colour 4-way stretch carpet or suedeliner complete with clips at competitive prices for customers who wish to speed up and simplify their builds. Suedeliner is only offered on standard style panels and not full height panels with window reveals as its difficult to get a perfect finish on internal window reveal corners.
